Itinerary

Day 1 – 3: Nairobi

 

On arrival to Nairobi you will be transfered to your hotel in the city center. During the next couple of days you will have time for the excursions tour to the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center, David Sheldrick Orphanage and a guided city tour to the important monuments. The last evening you will enjoy a barbecue dinner at Carnivore Restaurant.

Day 3 Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

 

Depart Nairobi in the morning for Amboseli National park at the foot of the snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Lunch and later proceed for the afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge

Day 4: Amboseli National Park

 

A full day in this photogenic park with morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

Amboseli National park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya Tanzania border. The Park lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (5,896 meters) whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. Amboseli National Park is often referred to as “The home of Elephants” some of the largest Elephant herds are found here. The Game Park also contains vast groups of Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Buffalos, Hippos and Antelopes. Also to be found in Amboseli are Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Rhinos and many species of plain game.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park – Lake Naivasha

 

After an early breakfast drive to Naivasha with an enroute game drive. Arrival at Lake Naivasha there will be time for a delicious lunch at the Camp/Lodge. Afternoon will be spend on relaxing as you enjoy the beautiful nature around. Dinner and overnight at your Camp/Lodge.

Optional A: An opportunity for a boat ride that take you to the famous Crescent Island along with a breathtaking tour of Lake Naivasha.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru

 

Depart from Lake Naivasha and proceed to Lake Nakuru. Check in at your hotel for lunch and refreshment and then later in the afternoon you will proceed with game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Meals and overnights at hotel.

Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its Flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of Flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the Black and White Rhino. Lions, Waterbuck, Buffalo and Baboons are all residents here.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

 

After breakfast departs for Maasai Mara – the land of vast migrating animals. Arrival will be in time for lunch. After lunch you will proceed with game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

Day 8: Masai Mara

 

Full spent exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big 5. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see Lions, Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffe, Wildebeests, Zebras, Buffalo, Warthogs, Hyenas, Jackals, Wild Dogs, Buffalo, Leopard, many kinds of Antelopes and Elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of Wildebeest and Zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the Savanna Lion, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Jackal, Hyena and Vultures.

Day 9: Masai Mara

 

Breakfast and then depart for another full game drive which will provide you an opportunity to view the “Big Five” Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard. We will continue with game drive for a tour to the famous Mara river where the biggest migration of animals in the world takes place. Lunch at the picnic sites near the river as we enjoy the beautiful park.

Day 10: Masai Mara – Nairobi

 

After breakfast or lunch depart to Nairobi for drop off at the airport for your flight either to Mombasa or back home.
